mreye
Former Sox player that you grew up watching are becoming Managers and Coaches. Guillen as Manager? Joey Cora as third base coach? Greg Wlaker asd hitting coach? What's next? Dan Pasqua? Craig Grebeck? Ron Karkovice? No hard feelings, c-dub.

Al Lopez Ghost (old)
1. Sons of umpires I watched as a kid are now umpires. 2. Ray Boone played for the White Sox. I saw him. His son of course we all remember. His grandkids are veteran players now. The Boone dynasty will outlive us all.
zach61
You ask the popcorn vendor to give you the box that converts into a megaphone when the popcorn is gone so you can yell go go sox.

zach61
Wow, kinda eery. TV seems to help most sports teams, yet Wirtz still won't put the Hawks on. I guess after this season, we won't have to worry about that for a while.

The mitt I still use is a Gary Matthews mitt - almost a historic relic now - and I realize that I am one of the those, old guys who I used to look at int he ball park and thought, that geezer has been around a while - andn now that is me! but I am still younger and hipper than most - not all, but most remembering WTAQ yes I remember the organist before Nancy - when Jack Brickhouse broadcast Sox games on WGN TV -
Pastime
I actually almost had to use my "Carlton Fisk" bat this past month out in the country. A wolf was messing around near the cabin, and I didn't know what to do. So I got ready for anything. By the way, I had a Brian Downing glove in Little League.
