No hyperbole: Do the Sox have the worst hitting team in Sox history? And in modern baseball history? If you do all the advanced metrics b.s. does this club come in last all-time in Sox history in runs, run differntial, total hits, total BA, etc. Total K's as well.

Pretty sure all of these pitchers are better than the White Sox average hitting numbers.

SOX before tonight:

.221 BA       .250 GETZ BA

.278 OBP    .309 GETZ

.338 SLG     .307 GETZ

.616 OPS     .616 OPS

Almost EXACTLY at Chris Getz's all-time career OPS, actually.

He has built almost a mirror image of himself and Josh (very much NOT Jesse) Barfield as hitters.

*The White Sox now have to go 9-5 the rest of the season to avoid setting the modern MLB record for losses in a season.

*Alyssa Bergamini handled Gene Honda’s duties tonight, making her the first woman to handle public address duties in White Sox history. She’ll be in the chair through the weekend.

18 shutouts so far....
