His main accomplishment in the last year or so was dragging Anderson off the field after his fight with Ramirez.

TA7 was still seeing stars, so he couldn't really break away and take another punch to his glass jaw.

Setting up in a specific direction instead of being more "loose/fast-twitchy" at the bag and ready to move quickly to his left or right for errant throws always seems to elude him.  It's something quite basic Bryce Harper picked up in a matter of weeks.

Yup. If dude has his left foot on the bag at a certain spot, it will be at that spot usually regardless of the throw. It's really noticeable.

Umps give Beni the benefit of the doubt on borderline pitches a lot. I have no fucking idea why they give him that respect.

His time with the Red Sox and Yankees when he (still) had folk lore status...especially Beantown.

Ortega turned the wrong way but made the play. Good job.

Pretty sad when even a routine play turns into something that needs to be congratulated or encouraged, lol.

It is what it is, though.

Once again, why is Ortega getting playing time?

Hopefully we can dump Maldonado on the Cardinals as a Contreras replacement...but Getz will probably trade Lee instead.

There's zero reason (or than current injury, but that's a recent development) not to just let Colas play and see what happens...

Ortega will garner no trade return and his playing time should be going to ANYONE who could be a legit part of the future.

Pillar with 2 HR today. Shoulda kept him (for defense at least) over Grossman.

As soon as a guy gets out of the shithole that is this organization he starts to produce. We shouldn't be surprised.

Nothing to say about the game. Just wanted to mention Tanner Mcdougal. I watched his strike outs tonite on

twitter, and he's got major league stuff right now. Only 2 years after arm surgery, so don't rush him. But if

Getz trades him for another bag of magic beans, we might as well give up all hope.

“It’s a matter of us getting the big hit when we need it,” said Grifol, overseeing the worst 36-game start in franchise history.

That my friends is called whistling past the graveyard. This team is D.O.A. regardless of if they ever get a big hit or not. They needed to do it a month ago, now it's meaningless. Grifol hasn't accomplished s%*# since day one but he continues to talk a lot about what has to happen.

The question needs to be asked, well...why hasn't it happened yet?

The starter the Sox threw out there is now 0-4 with a 6.34 ERA.  Grifol can take his big hit and shove it where the sun don’t shine.  He’s a soundboard of bullshit.
