Schriffen can’t get over that interference call the other night. He has mentioned it at least 3 times today. He needs to look at the bright side. Yeah, it clearly cost the Sox a shot at the playoffs, but it basically locked in the  #10 pick.

They have to trade crochet at some point I guess. But they absolutely should not trade Robert.

They have to trade him at some point.   Depending on the next few seasons, he likely gets a $200m+ deal if he goes to FA and we know Jerry won’t pay that so might as well get something in return.

Teams don’t want to trade away elite prospects. So they can wait two years and probably get about the same return.

Crochet’s scoreless-innings streak ended at 24 but he still matched a career high with 11 strikeouts in the Sox’ 4-1 loss to the Orioles. Baltimore finished a four-game sweep of the Sox, who suffered their second four-game sweep of the season. The Sox have dropped five straight, nine of the last 10 and 11 of 14 to sink 24 games below .500.

At 15-39, the Sox have the worst 54-game record in franchise history, a full two games worse than 2018’s 17-37 start.

Teams also don’t want to piss away a competitive window by hiring the owners 76 year old buddy the day after he gets a DUI.  Most teams also wouldn’t follow that up by hiring a completely unqualified and incompetent GM without a single interview and hire a guy to manage who was passed over by his own poverty organization for two managerial openings.  Yet here we are…

This from the Sun-Times postgame story:

"Grifol batted away questions about how to avoid more flat efforts and why Sunday occurred."

It's no secret, a blind man can see it in the dark. This is happening because this may be the least talented White Sox team ever, led by an incompetent field manager and general manager and owned by a guy who thinks his way is the way to "win" and feels he's smarter than anybody else in the room.

Hint: he isn't.

1-9 not bad. They are still getting worse. Pedro goes at the break. Worst Sox record ever. ?

You know, it is embarrassing to lose 4 games in a row at home especially. Amazing how nobody in the Sox organization cares. This is almost highway robbery, taking money from fans for this crap. Almost got no hit. Geez. I wish somebody would say how embarrassed they are. Even the Pham addition has now worn off.

By the way Schiff should be embarrassed by his home run call on Mendick blast. He was all hyped and excited. I think he did the 'stand up' b.s. Look our fans are not dumb. Schiff just calm down when we're down 4-0 in the 8th and getting no hit. Manufactured enthusiasm, bah. Harry Caray and Piersall would be so hard on this team.

In the past two days, the White Sox starters threw 12 1/3 innings and gave up two runs. Yet the Sox lost both games.

That's cause all areas of the team are substandard so at least one gets u every night. Tonight it's hitting. On nights we score five or more it'll either be bullpen or starting pitching. Getz built a team substandard in all areas except 'maybe' defense. Defense allegedly is OK.
