Lip Man 1
This probably doesn't end well. My guess is now he really knows the heat is on him, he's heard something and is trying to CYA: https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2024/05/27/pedro-grifol-doubles-down-on-calling-out-players
GreenSox
He was complaining about the players and the clubhouse last year as well. Meanwhile, his job is to fix those things.
Rusty_Kuntz
How can you even get mad? He's a complete beta, no clue how to lead a locker room. It's not his fault they were dumb enough to hire him.

You can't be done with the FLAT because they're just not good players. Otherwise, you're basically attacking Benintendi Vaughn Eloy Moncada and Robert for underachieving. Because those are the guys who are expected to be producing. Not Tommy Pham at age 36 or Korey Lee after 2023 or even Sheets. Not DeJong, either. The fans haven’t for over a year, the media doesn’t and now the players are openly flipping him off. Does he think he is fooling people or is this sincere stupidity? Denial...Eduardo Perez (ESPN, MLB Network), supposedly his best friend in the game, needs to have a really difficult conversation with him about his future in the sport and the best way for him to exit this White Sox mess and maintain a job/relationships in the sport. No pushback, just happy to have a job.

I feel like a mid-career dude who has been passed over for several huge promotions would be dumb to not take the huge promotion when he gets the chance. 1

Yeah that's 100% on the hiring manager or hiring organization.
