You know, if you disappear Nicky Lopez' first 16 games, his batting line is .272/.331/.316 for an OPS of .647, which is still ass, but not quite the offensive black holes that Benny, Vaughn and Maldonado present, whatever subset of their seasons you choose to look at.

Helps facing a below replacement level player and the a guy coming off of injury who weirdly didn’t get a rehab assignment.
