104 games to go.

It's going to be a long summer, folks.

Check on the pitchers in the minor leagues after each blowout in the majors. It helps mark the

time.

Yeah, obviously Pillar isn't going to keep hitting like Mike Trout. But Tommy Pham is probably gonna turn back into Tommy Pham.

And so far, one of the two is a good defensive outfielder and can apparently have drastic mid season turnarounds due to coaching.

They would have been better off applying it to Anthony Rendon...a bit more important in the overall scheme of things.

The Brewers' 23 hits were not only a season high but the most for any team in any game across the Majors this season. Of those hits, 18 were singles and none were home runs. And in finishing 9-for-27 with runners in scoring position, the Brewers set the mark for most official at-bats with runners in scoring position in any MLB game this season.

Just watched the highlights on free mlb.com. My gawd the Sox starter wasn't excellent but the relievers got waxed. Again, when you are bad at all phases of the game, at least one area will cost you the game almost every night or 8 out of 10 nights. Brewers played like a real team with all those line smash hits. Pretty much a butt kicking. Another lopsided loss.

Can you imagine if Oz or LaRussa was managing this team? Both guys have won World Championships thus would likely have said some interesting stuff after some of these losses. I don't think all these trades the Sox allegedly are going to make will assure anything close to a competitive team in 2025. Season ticket holders must have rocks in their head. When your slugger is named Paul DeJong it's time to reassess your fandom.

Actually it isn't, I've really stopped paying a lot of attention...just tune in occasionally, check box scores, read the newspapers.

It's actually a little refreshing for wont of a better word not to agonize over every game especially in a pennant race.

This season was over after three weeks, no pressure now, just relax and laugh at the incompetence.

On another note...

The is the 8th game this year the Sox had a lead in the 7th inning or later and lost.

Brebbia's ERA is now almost eight, another waste of millions of dollars on flotsam and jetsem that passes for a major league player by the Sox organization.

Nine in a row now and 15 of 18. ?

I can’t laugh at any of this except that Getz actually thought he had put together a competitive team.

This is really hard for me, I’ve lived and died for 72 years with the White Sox and I never thought that we would see something this bad with the franchise. This is beyond embarrassing, I would call it almost a crime. I wish somehow someway that the season could end today and save us more grief and heartache.
We are doomed as long as the 3 Stooges of Moe Reinsdorf, Larry Getz  and Curly Grifol are running the franchise.

I’ve watched about 4 innings this season, legit. Given I’ve been on this site for 20 years (wtf) I’ll never stop following the team, but I can’t wrap my head around actually watching. Way too many other things to enjoy than a group of players on a road to nowhere

I love baseball, so I'm going to watch someone play. It's just not these guys.

Schriffen- another member of the organization who's in way over his head

I feel so much better knowing according to Schriffen that the Sox aren’t that bad and just unlucky that they catching teams while they are hot, I’m sure things will average out.

He has all the credibility of the North Korean state media at this point.

He's trying way too hard to paint a bright picture. A losing streak is a losing streak is a losing streak. He won't get anywhere insulting our intelligence. Same for Stone Poney who really ought to know better.

Agreed.

There's a pretty bold, thick line (not a fine line) between being optimistic and delusional at this point.

Schriff is way past that line.

That game was completely rigged and stolen from us. The judge er umps were crooked and the Brewers cheated like a million times.

Have to agree, it's becoming almost a daily thing with him.

As I said in the other thread someone close to him needs to intervene. It will get ugly for him if he refuses to acknowledge the overwhelming truth around this team and this season in particular.

I'm gonna play the contrarian today. The Sox will start playing competitive baseball sometime

next season. I know it sounds like i've been day drinking again, but I haven't. My enthusiasm is

based on our starting pitching prospects. Schultz, Thorpe, Eder, Grant Taylor, Iriarte and a few

others added to Garrett Crochet. The Sox have at least 3-4 guys who could end up being a true

#1 starter very soon. Maybe no other organization can say this. With Korey Lee catching the bulk

of games, Robert in CF(fingers  crossed) and Montgomery, Ramos and Gonzalez added to the infield

it could happen by All star break 2025. 2026 could be a special year.
