Maldonado an All Star? Make it happen

Recommended Posts

This would be the funniest thing in this terrible baseball year.  And maybe getting Maldonado to the game would force MLB to change the way all stars are selected.

Wired:  Vote for no White Sox at all.  Let them all finish last.

Inspired: All-Star team needs vet leadership only Maldonado can provide.

I dunno, not really a fan of embarrassing the guy on national tv in front of the world because he can’t hit and his manager thinks he should play.  Funny in theory, mean spirited in action.

Ownership hasn't been mean spirited and dismissive of the fans forever?

f*** em.

Vote for Maldonado.

If character really matters, make it count!

Perhaps, as a professional athlete, he should, you know, not be a fat slob?

If I could vote the ownership in so we could boo them I feel it would be on point.  They did this

Yeah, seems like a lot of effort for something that is going to be completely ignored anyway.

The Sox weren’t forced to sign him and Pedro certainly isn’t forced to play him.  But hey, see it through.  Vote him in and let’s all laugh at and embarrass a guy who shouldn’t be in the majors but the worst team in the league decided to employ

He wasn't forced to sign a contract or play, either.

I'd also argue that by not taking his fitness seriously, he embarrasses himself more than anyone else could.

Is it mean-spirited? Yes. But there’s very little a frustrated and neglected fanbase can do on a national level to draw attention to such shitty ownership/management to embarrass them. I support this, but there’s no way I’m wasting my own time voting.

Exactly.  Have him voted in as the all star owner rep and then when he is announced on tv we can just unload in every media way possible lol

I remember in Spring Training, they mentioned he lost a lot of weight. I guess he found it.
