Free agency via Curt Flood was 1976. I was wrong on draft as it was 1965. The point was that the game has changed a lot in 52 years, and players don't stay put like they used to because of those things. I lived in that part of the world in 1972 and saw many of those games on TV. What I'll never forget is how well the Phils played whenever Carlton started.
