They've been making a lot of moves, albeit some (many) forced by injuries. Do people realize Pham was in a bad slump when he got hurt and was down to .3 fWAR and was basically on a 1.5 fWAR pace? Like he's a decent player, which stands out here, but it's not like he's going to put up a 5 WAR season. No, I'm talking about somebody spilling the beans on the 2024 clubhouse. Like, Wilson being traded, then quoted with "Man, that place is bonkers", or something like that. I could see this team not trading Robert or Crochet, plugging in Cannon, Thorpe...maybe Bush, getting Yoan back, and actually playing just bad baseball. Maybe after the draft and trade deadline, they even start plugging Toussaint, Bush, Eder, Adams, some of their depth, into the big club's bullpen. Haven’t seen this type of pitching depth in the minors in a long time. Hopefully Thorpe is a mainstay in the rotation for the next 10 years. Same way I feel - Sox were top heavy with multiple top 50s, then nothing really behind them. Pitching depth is VERY encouraging now. If they trade all those guys fans need to just treat the Sox like a minor league team the rest of their lives (at MLB prices though). It'll be apparent even more than now that this is just a (bad) entertainment option not a competitive team and has ZERO chance of ever winning anything of note again. Just go to the game as if it was a minor league game, not caring who wins, just a (bad) entertainment option for a summer night. Flipping everybody will accomplish nothing except show us even moreso this is not a real sports team it's a once-in-summertime entertainment option or something to watch on TV when utterly bored of movies, talk shows. You’re missing Rodon (already in majors), Fulmer, Hansen, Adams, Pilkington, Lambert, etc. Not saying you’re wrong by any means, but there was quite a bit young pitching at the time including eight guys who cracked top 100 lists.
