Before the second half of the WNBA season, which resumes Aug. 15 after the Olympic break, the franchise is expected to announce a new practice facility. According to two league sources, the Sky are considering using the Wintrust Sports Complex in Bedford Park, a suburb near Midway Airport. The Sky did not immediately return messages for comment. Clark (No. 1) and Reese (No. 2) have the league’s top-two selling jerseys this year, part of a 1,000% increase in player-specific merchandise sales, according to Fanatics. The WNBA recently agreed to a record-$2.2 billion television contract that the head of the WNBA players union said might have undervalued the league’s worth at the moment. That would put them in the $8.8-10.4 billion valuation range. NBA package just signed was for $75 billion for the NBA.
