Latest attendance check...

Let's bring this back to the attendance at games. If these issues were addressed maybe we would have had a team that was more competitive and generated more fan interest. Instead, JR allowed the Sox and our fan base to become punching bags, taking it on the chin, over and again. Having fun with that? Yes, a lot of that here.  I still think it is not too late to make some changes and at least win some games instead of throwing the towel in.

We’re definitely taking it somewhere, but it ain’t the chin.

Guys, I’m hearing tonight’s game is sold out.

Half Dodgers/OHTANI...half giveaway.

Royals and A's would always have fan protests against "evil empire" Yankees.

Now it's the Dodgers.

Guessing nice weather too?

The City of Chicago is mainly black and Hispanic within its City limits - definitely a White Sox town.

Hispanic Sox fan pride night. Lots of good food, good company, and good spirits. Stay safe my friends.

Also white. Unless I missed a joke?

Yep.  Not sure he picked up on the covert racism in his post when he submitted it.

This is also the same poster who likes GRF because it has 10 acres of concrete parking lots and he doesn't have to interact with the city when coming to games.

I thought the “Stay safe my friends” was the finishing touch.  ?

My post was accurate concerning the demographics in Chicago moron.

Chicago is pretty well known to have almost equal distributions of black, Hispanic, and white.

There are more black and hispanic Chicagoans than white. That's just a fact. I'm not sure what that says about the demographics of Sox fans, but proximity seems like a reasonable deduction. It's certainly not a racist one.

Where are you getting this? I’m honestly curious. I’d always heard what I said earlier and I looked it up again just to be sure. And SS2K5 posted a different one than what I saw which also agreed.

The entire list of Southside neighborhoods with a majority white population:

  • Mount Greenwood - 83.4%
  • Beverly - 91.3%
  • Canaryville - 56.3%

If proximity to the park is an indicator of fandom, then it's reasonable to assume Sox fans would lean non-white.

Are you arguing specifically about the South Side and not Chicago overall?

Also, what is the majority in Bridgeport?

Did I not preface my post with the qualifier of proximity being the leading indicator?
