WestEddy
Grifol on Eloy, who has the day off today: "He feels good. At times it will grab a little bit. But for the most part, he feels pretty good." — Scott Merkin (@scottmerkin) June 29, 2024
WestEddy
More Grifol on Eloy: "What I know about Eloy is that when I’ve seen him healthy, he has no issues with running hard down the line. As a matter of fact, he takes a little pride in that because when he is healthy, he’s one of our faster guys feet per second ... — Scott Merkin (@scottmerkin) June 29, 2024

WestEddy
6 minutes ago, southsider2k5 said: To BS land if you believe Eloy is running at 100% Wait - this is from the SoxMachine article I posted. Quote “We measure all this stuff every day and he gets up there between 75 and 80 percent, between 75 and 83 percent,” Grifol said. “The thing we are looking at is making sure that instead of doing that in short spurts–we measure it out by feet too, we have 90 feet and we have the measurements how long he gets up in those high percentages–and what we want him to do and what we need him to do is just to maintain that percentage for a longer period of time. But he feels good. At times [Jiménez’s left hamstring] will grab a little bit. But for the most part, he feels pretty good.”
Timmy U
Today’s game points to Manfred’s trouble moving away from power to stolen bases. Rox have 2 hits, both HR. If those balls were hard singles, it is a 0-0 game. Ball go far, team go far. As pitch shapes get nastier and nastier, there will be a premium on maximizing what you do to mistakes. It is the best argument for why the Sox should grab Cags, if they get the shot, despite the 1b profile.
