caulfield12
Getz, now here’s your chance to replace DeJong the second half, lol.
Sleepy Harold
A .463 OPS with a 30 OPS+ in 234 ABs this season is wild, a fall of epic proportions.

Rocky
I feel for TA. A fan favorite and someone who I enjoyed cheering for. His fall is crazy. Wish him the best. 7 2
Dick Allen
Pretty incredible downfall. That's 2 teams paying him this season, not to play for them.
southsider2k5
I was hoping a change of scenery might do it for him, but I wonder if the leg injuries sapped his real talent. Love the guy, appreciate his struggles.
greg775
Holy cow. This will be controversial, but I'd sign him. He's much better than what we got. He's a cheap contract and if we want to build on our pitching for next year, we have room for him at second base!! We can release Lopez and sign TA and have him get his act together with a strong eye on 2025. You can't deny we need a middle infielder til Monte is ready.

Don’t want to go as far to say I feel bad for him, but it does suck to see. The guy was damn near on the top of the world hitting that walk off at the field of dreams game and in less than 3 years he can’t find a job. Making the least controversial statement in my SoxTalk posting career, Tim Anderson is not as productive as Nicky Lopez. 7 1

GreatScott82
Crazy that this 2021 playoff starting lineup was only 3 years ago: Tim Anderson, SS (DFA’d) Yoan Moncada, 3B (IL obsession) Jose Abreu, DH (DFA’d) Yasmani Grandal, C (barely hanging onto MLb career. Is bad) Luis Robert, CF (Only bright spot left) Eloy Jimenez, LF (IL obsession) Gavin Sheets, 1B (L) (Bench player) Adam Engel, RF (out of baseball) Leury Garcia, 2B (DFA’d) WTF happened these knuckleheads? Paul DeJong is better than Tim Anderson, and I never thought I'd type that sentence. Hell, Nicky Lopez is better than TA right now. The Sox have at least four players who can play 2B and SS better than TA.

vilehoopster
Wow, how quickly this happened, sooo quickly. Am I correct, wasn't it two years ago he was the starting short stop for the AL all-star game? Or three years ago? Can we please, please, please follow this lead and DFA Maldanado? I did say please. Why are we keeping him?
