I realize he has 3 more years on his contract but I can't see how you can keep him on the team next season. They're prpbably going to trade him to another team who has a player with a bad contract. There were several guys who were as bad as Beni but now improving. Still a mostly bad lineup.
Lip Man 1
Grifol just loves his excuses: “Just little things, little details,” manager Pedro Grifol said. “The game [Thursday] came up to a few decisions that we opted in another direction that cost us. And against that team right there, you can’t.” ? It's July 4th Pedro, weren't you supposed to work on "little details" in spring training?

Asking another team to take on that amount of money, at least 50 million, for a terrible player is a longshot in my opinion. Even if the Sox are willing to take a bad contract back in return, of what benefit is that to the team getting him? It's a push which changes nothing. The Sox would have to agree to pay a sizable chunk of his salary. Me thinks they are stuck with him for another two years then they DFA his ass. Now, I'd guess Sosa moves to 2b, and Mendick's the odd man out. 2) Either that, or they pair Benintendi up with a lower level arm somebody covets, eat some money, an get a bullpen arm in return. They will never eat $35 million…
