Sean Burke was super strong through three before being pulled in the fourth.  The stuff appears to be fully back as he hit 97 on the gun while I was watching and struck out six in 3.1 innings (getting K’s on his 4 seamer, curve, & slider).

Lucas Gordon in desperate need of a promotion.  Five innings of two run ball so far brings his full season ERA up to 1.89.  5 K’s & 0 BB’s, but gave up a two run blast.  I get there is a logjam, but I can’t imagine he’s in Kannapolis much longer.

Wolkow finished 1-3 with a HR, 3 RBI, and 2 BB. He K'd once looking, on a borderline pitch where he made it clear that he didn't love the call. Clearly working on his plate discipline.

But don't let the giant King George mashing baseballs distract you from the short king Rikuu also slapping them all over the place.

Nishida went 5-6 (!!!) with 3 RBI, a 3B, and a SB.

Kanny wins 8-2.

I'm trying hard to keep my expectations in check with George. It's not easy.

That kid is for real. When you see an 18 year old with that kind of easy oppo power, there's no reason to not have really high expectations. He looks so coordinated and smooth that it's hard to believe he's 18.

He's got 70-80 power. If he can play a position and hit .220, he can be an every day major leaguer. If he can hit .260 he's an all star.

That was the worst defensive placement I’ve seen in my life ?
