We all know that. We don’t need proof.

I guess I’m still hoping that part of our past failures were because of Rick Hahn being incompetent in many areas and not being able to figure out how to solve or at least convince Jerry to invest in them.  Getz may or may not be more of the same, but using Robert to dump Benintendi’s contract so we can go out and sign someone like Anthony Santander would immediately provide an answer to that question.

I can spread my wrath around to all of the ethnicities that have come through Chicago throughout the years. Except maybe black US players, even Bell was a fucking stud when he was an asshole.

Who was the least likeable black player we've had? Jurassic Carl?

Ah, maybe Baldwin. That guy pissed me off.

My vote goes to Royce Clayton

For sure. Baldwin, Navarro, Swisher are near the top in our lifetimes. Beni has to be up there. We should make a thread on it during this boring ass 2nd half.

Dunn at least managed to be well liked.

That DV reliever from Houston around 2008.

Manny Ramirez.

Sosa.

Wil Cordero.

Clevinger…almost forgotten.

David Wells was probably the biggest public a-hole who played on the White Sox in my lifetime. So to answer your query, David Wells was the player closest to being black that was the biggest a-hole, and pretty roundly hated when he criticized Big Frank for not playing hurt, turned out to be very wrong, then couldn't play through his own injury.

How is what not constantly remembered?

The never ending blame game when the owner calls all the shots but quietly behind the scenes…leaving the GM a constant lame duck and blame deflector.

There is a special place for guys who sign giant FA contracts, absolutely suck as a pitcher, and the complain they aren't getting run support when giving up six runs.

How is this Benitendi packaged along with Crochet even a thing? It's like mass paranoia set in like during the off-season about getting Salvy Perez and that other ex Royal.

oh yea good one, blast from my childhood, that guy sucked and ran his mouth iirc.

I love in that movie The Rookie, the first MLB batter Dennis Quaid faces is Royce Clayton and he strikes him out on 3 pitches....I said to my wife, "hey I remember that guy"

Benintendi is going to be packaged with Robert, then Reinsdorf is going to plant microchips in all White sox fans. Then he's moving the team to Nashville, and will force us to buy season ticket packages for games 500 miles away.

People are making up BS to be mad about.

Hope they don't risk losing that #10 draft pick next season.

The Pirates are 42-45 and have the 11th worst record in baseball as of now. The White Sox are 26-64.  The Sox would have to make up 17.5 games in 74 games worth of time to move to 11th.

We good.

pirates have the type of team KW fielded quite a bit. it's a mediocre team but it's fun AF and has some exciting young talent.

The Red Sox are 47-39, so 23 games.

Ok I'm convinced....let's be buyers at the deadline and go for it.

It’s only a thing because Harold is saying it’s a real possibility.  I personally don’t think there is any chance it happens because the idea is absolute insanity, but can’t completely rule out it if Harold is actively championing for it.
