Joey Bart, a 27 year old catcher with an .820 OPS.  Getz could have acquired him for a song when the Giants DFA him.  Getz decided to stick with Maldonado.

There's a guy around here who is quick to mock others who use small sample sizes to talk about baseball players. He'll probably be along, soon.

I posted right when Bart was DFA that he would be a great replacement for Maldonado.  See below.

There is nothing, NOTHING, more disappointing than Jimenez becoming a colossal bust. I thought that guy was a for sure .300 30+ homer guy.

Shuster pitches well; pull him after 1/2/3.
Soroka comes in and gets an out:  pull him.
Kuhl comes in and gives up a run and it's like Pedro said "That's my boy"
Kuhl gets another inning and gives up 2.
Kuhl gets a 3rd inning and he's in trouble again.

What the hell?

He was supposed to be.  And he pretty much had to be since his glove was so bad.

Soroka was supposed to be longman. He got hurt though. That's why he was pulled.

I think that same guy also mocks people who see hope in a player posting a batting line that's well above their career norm. You should watch out for him.

Sadly, there's no one to take ABs away from. Who should be there instead? Sheets? Julks? This is gonna be a long rebuild.

Daniel Palka, I truly don't give a s%*#.  One thing for sure, Eloy isn't on this team next year.

Also, watch out for those posters who are fine with bums like Sheets and Julks starting for the Sox next season who have never been good players and are nearing 30.  It’s almost like they would be as bad of a GM as Getz.

Saw somewhere that the Phillies released Whit Merrifield.  Should the Sox pick him up and have him replace Mendick?

Well run organizations who want to win, cut dead weight and just take the loss on the accounting ledger.

The cutting Mendick part is fine, but otherwise no.

We won't really start to get a feel for what kind of a GM Getz is until after this draft and TDL.

Soroka hurt his shoulder.
