It’s hard to believe this could possibly be true, between cheap Jerry and Grifol being a new manager with no previous managerial experience. I think I had seen somewhere that the number was more like around a million per year for each of the 3 years of his contract. Must be all of those endorsement deals.

I couldn’t believe it. Not sure if they are credible or not. Edited July 16 by NWsideSoxfan

Quote Coming in second is Pedro Grifol, who earns a reported $5.5 million to manage the White Sox. Grifol’s salary had been $3.75 million in 2023. He’ll make $5.5 million this year as part of his contract extension signed in 2020. Edited July 16 by WhiteSox2023

Maybe he isn’t a great communicator and all the players interpreted his convictions as, “get our asses kicked.”

The last time around, he divulged that the White Sox were paying Tony La Russa $4 million a year, while it looks like Grifol is making less than Rick Renteria did". The same article also said "Grifol is in the second year of a three-year contract for about $3 million." As Renteria was supposedly on $1.2 a season it looks like Grifol is om about $1 million a season.
