Just based on the first few lines of his bio, I'm 1000% supporting this guy, hope he turns out as something decent.

WHOA! Sox just picked a kid ranked #145 by BA.

All right now we are talking.  19 year old high school kid gets knocked off of a lot of lists automatically. Big boy with big projected power.

Myles Bailey

Scouting grades: Hit: 45 | Power: 60 | Run: 45 | Arm: 55 | Field: 45 | Overall: 45

In 2022, Xavier Isaac was a big 6-foot-4 left-handed-hitting first baseman coming out of the Florida high school ranks, one who ended up being a surprise first-round selection of the Rays. Isaac has since reconfigured his body and proven the Rays right by being one of the better power-hitting prospects in the Minors. Could his path help Bailey, another 6-foot-4, lefty-swinging corner infielder also from the Florida prep scene?

In some ways, Bailey is ahead of where Isaac was in his senior season. While Bailey is very physical, he’s more athletic than you might think when looking at him, while Isaac had to commit to conditioning after entering pro ball. Similarly, Bailey has tremendous raw power, though there’s work to be done for him to tap into it consistently. Some scouts feel he’s too stiff in the box and needs to change a setup that leads to swing-and-miss, while others do see some hit tool, but perhaps with a barrel that tends to be a bit late.

Bailey’s surprising athleticism does give him the chance to be more than just a first baseman, though most feel that’s where he will eventually land. The Florida State recruit has seen time in left field and third base, where his above-average arm plays well. But it’s the power potential at the plate that could have teams interested in keeping the Tallahassee native from staying home for college, though some teams’ models will not like that he will be 19 when the Draft rolls around.

Comparing him to a former Rays first rounder

I get there are some of these guys in every class, but it just feels like this specific group of them was much worse than usual, and we didn't get much for it.  Hopefully some of them make me look back, but it is basically a 5ish man class as it stands now, and it seems to lack the group of guys who maybe could break out if something interesting happens.  There just isn't much in the way of either high ceilings, or even high floors.

It's not a 5 man class. That's ridiculous.

It's probably the build up expectation for this year being something different being pitching by a couple of people, but outside of the lottery ticket in the 20th round, this felt like every Rick Hahn draft ever.

oh for the days of Kenny drafting his son and giving him a 6 figure bonus; and then drafting Ozzie's sons in late rounds and Ozzie getting pissed about it.

And when an actually good relative showed up, they passed on him.
