Chisoxfn
Giddey isn't as quick as maybe I was expecting, but he's stronger than expected. Not going to jump to much in one game. I still think this team will be somewhat entertaining to watch offensively - but I know they will be awful defensively. In general though, I was pretty supportive of most of the moves the front office made. The real goal now is hopefully Zach and Lonzo and others play well and it drives up trade value to really hit a reset.

If Lavine can put up performances like last night he'll definitely get to play for some other playoff team this year.

Chisoxfn
Bulls are a unique experience - Billy Donovan is designing an offense that is going to set all kinds of records for 3s jacked up. Zero defense but they can score on most nights…

Zero defense but they can score on most nights… Haven't watched a game yet for the obvious reason but I'm still holding my breath there. They've had years before where the ball movement starts crisp before devolving. They have stuck with it from what I"ve read though, in the face of poor shot making, which has been some of the reason they've gotten out of it in past. Legitimately amazed Ball is playing. Thought he was toast when he said he couldn't walk up stairs without pain 1.5 years in.

This team is still not very good, but at least they are more entertaining than previously thought.

Catch him in a lounge at the right time and nobody goes thirsty. He himself could drink a whale under the table, they tell me. Got so many points on his frequent flyer card at Binny's that he didn't have to pay for it anyway. This is the Internet so it has to be true. I thought Joakim was more of a weed guy. Quin
Was at the game tonight and it honestly feels like this Bulls could be a fun team to watch - if they had just let Pat walk. It's frustrating, because in-person I can see the flashes and I go "oh, I get it now." But then he can't make shots and doesn't hustle for boards like he needs to. If Pat were to get hurt and Jalen Smith became the starting PF with Sanogo getting the backup big minutes, they might give you what you're missing with Pat based on sheer motor. It's almost painful to watch.
BigHurt3515
Wish we could draft guys who can actually get minutes. Matas assigned to Windy City

He needs those reps - we completely agree and I’m sure he will bounce around a lot between two teams.
Quin
This team plays at an absolutely relentless pace. Pat is finally...showing... aggression? I'm worried about how bad the East is to this point. It might give AKME false hope.

He just visibly still has the highest IQ on the team, he'll probably be cheap due to injury, and isn't *that* old. They'll need a vet that isn't Torrey Craig or Jevon Carter. Ideally they unload Zach, Vuc and Coby for draft assets / salary relief / prospects if they're lucky and keep their pick. Let the team develop around Matas, Ayo, Pat (he's here to stay), the lotto pick and probably Giddey, if he doesn't command an unexpectedly high contract. But I'm also worried they don't get the interest they want and decide to go for it for some stupid reason.

I think they need to ideally get maximum value for the squad - Lavine, Vuc, and Ball - plus I really think they should think about moving White as well. Multiple first round picks, cap space, etc. Maybe take a flyer on a guy or two if you want or even inherit a contract if it helps increase value. But this season has worked very well - but I really think they need to use that advantage to hit the strategic sell button and position themselves up for the true rebuild that needs to happen. None of this will be fun - but it has to be done and if the front office did it now, more selling at a high, it at least buys them some much needed good will. Seperately - I would try to pick up a vet point guard if I could to help with Matas development.

And then it's just "you swapped lavine for MPJ (whom I hate)." I unno, I'd rather have traded him to detroit for garbage than this. But I may be missing something.
