What’s the story on him…huge power?

I would have gladly received a 3B/1B with his numbers as one of the prospects for Kopech.

Pintar also has nice numbers as a 23 year old CF in AA:

Seems like a nice return for the Marlins — two potential starting position players for a reliever with 2.5 more years of control.

Puk has been great as a reliever this year. ERA inflated due to early starts he made.

You are correct.  Oof, Puk was terrible as a starter and is now amazing as a reliever.

And no, we are not getting a similar return for Tanner freaking Banks.

Do we honestly believe Kopech can get a similar return? Its kopech!!

No, but the returns for Harvey and Puk at least prove the asking price for relievers is high. Sox should get something good back for him.

Pitching at the deadline is where the overpays happen.  Hell just look at the Sox deadline deals last year.
