Who was saying Thorpe's ERA was lower than Cease? Not anymore!

The way this week has gone, you could see this coming.  Everything that can go wrong, will.  Getz looks like such an idiot.

His peripherals weren’t good before this.  Going to be brutal after this.

He’s not built to pitch in this park.  I can’t believe he was the headliner.

Does anyone in this organization feel embarrassment

I'm not blaming the kid, Thorpe, he is going to be fine.

Nope, and not one word from Getz before this series opener.  The whole thing from top on down has totally collapsed.

So one blow up and now we turn on the kid?

Get this out of the system this year.

Drew won't be our issue going forward.....there are Many other issues

I don't think the GM choosing not to speak 3 days before the trade deadline is that "bad."

Seriously. Do people remember when Cease gave up like 7 runs in an inning in his first start after the trade deadline LAST YEAR?

He doesn’t have the life on a fastball or command to pitch the way he does.  He’s been lucky so far, but as the headliner for a great trade chip?  Had to aim for someone that can be a 1-3 and not a 4-5 IMO.

No they do not. JR could care less what the teams record is. His only goal is to get the most return for him and his heirs when the team is finally sold.

The teams worth increases no matter what their record is.

He could care less what fans think.

It really does seem like he’s trying to kill the fan base so much that it’s easy for him to move.

I'm going to give him a chance.

I have seen more good than bad and he has a chance to be good.

Just let him pitch and learn. Every young guy has blown up at some point

Or did he make some sort of transaction on the team that reset his cost basis to be super high a couple of years ago? So now he can tank the club’s value and capture a massive loss when he sells?

Going to be tough to push it down under $2 billion no matter what they do with the potential value of the Chicago media market.
