He’s 1 for 15….just like his players

But have you considered that it's actually Rick Hahn's fault and Getz is only doing the best he can?

It is amazing how the Sox manage to keep finding new lows this year.  I didn't think it was possible to be THIS bad without trying to do so on purpose.  And to think Getz was talking mild s%*# about the rest of the division and here we are helping the ALCentral get to the playoffs.

They were trying to get worse on purpose at the trade deadline and couldn't even manage that.

They were trying to get long term talent into the system and completely failed when compared to a team like the Marlins.

Rebuilding teams traditionally get as many players as possible while getting as much control as possible.

Chris Getz somehow decided that approach is for nerds.

Exactly. It's the right thing to do. And like I said they failed at that as well.

It was going to make them worse this year. Imagine playing on a team that is trying to get worse. Especially if you know you won't be around when they get better.

He managed to miss out on both quality and quantity.

Remember when firing Rick Renteria was the solution?

I remember thinking they were actually going to upgrade the manager position... that was really the beginning of the end.

Good guy, but his team collapsed at the end of the COVID season and he was acting nutsy trying to get them back on track.   Better than what followed him for sure.  Blame JR and Getz for that.
