Grifol will survive the year, probably survive the offseason ( got to have someone for fans to yell at at Soxfest ), then they can fire him around the ASB next year. Sox announced Sox Fest was supposed to be returning this coming off season in part because it is the 125th season of the franchise and the 20-year reunion of the 2005 championship club. Now given what's happened on the field this season it would not surprise me one single bit if they find some excuse not to have it again.
