Didn't see his first start, but Martin is moving the ball around nicely and keeping on the edges of the plate for the most part.

I remember him looking pretty decent before the injury. I felt good about the prospect of him being a nice #4 or 5 in the rotation.

Win today and head into the Cub series on a hot streak.

:lolhitting

It would be pretty funny if they won the weekend series against the Cubbies after that 21 game crapfest.

Yeah he is never going to be a front line guy, but not everyone needs to be.  If he can give you back of the rotation action, that's a win for a guy who you got as a 14th round pick.

Excuse me for being confused, but why does this team have Lopez, Sheets, Robinson, Touki, Flexen, Wilson, etc. on the roster at all? A little late to say they're trying to win games, isn't it?

It would be the highlight of the season.

Trying not to ruin the development of guys. Remember Vaughn getting rushed and playing out of position? They are placeholders until guys are ready.

Schriffen says Ozzie was hyped up when he phoned the post game last night. I thought he was drunk.

I believe addiction specialists call Schriffen's behavior as "enabling".

Because the Sox have very little talent, and even fewer quality prospects pushing them.  There are a couple of moves that should be made to get some of the more recent trade acquisitions on the roster to play, but when it comes down to it, if you cut those last three guys out of the pitching staff, who are you replacing them with?

Baldwin plays ss, Sosa plays 2b, Vargas at 3b. Ramos has gotten hot at AAA. Maybe he comes up when Vargas shows he can't play 3rd.

Fletcher and DeLoach instead of Sheets. Maybe even give Colas another shot?

Quero is ready. Give him the at bats instead of Robinson.

Mason Adams for Flexen until Thorpe comes back.

Adisyn Coffey instead of Wilson (who can be sent down).

AHT for Touki or Leone.
