its soooooo horrid

Yup. We have no pen. You can blame Grady all day but when your options are s%*# and s%*#, you're gonna get s%*# no matter what.

I actually am not sure what is worse...this absolutely awful bullpen....or the inability of this offense to score against any other bullpen.

Rick Hahn assembled better bullpens.

This is not a compliment to Hahn. Fire Getz.

But look how much was spent.

Most expensive pens in MLB history when Hendriks and Kimbrel together…Bummer Kelly Graveman etc.

Tonight marked the 24th time the Sox took a lead into the 7th inning or later...and lost the game.

I'm guessing when all is said and done it will be up to 30 times by seasons end.

Davis Martin has been at least one bright spot coming back from injury. He might stick in the rotation next year. Next year's staff might be serviceable at least. Crochet, Thorpe, Cannon, Martin all appear to competent major league pitchers so far and all are young with lots of control. Imagine if games were only 6 innings long, we might have won 60 games this eyar.

Jose Ruiz looks like prime Eric Gagne compared to the Getz Bullpen

Or our old friend Jimmy Cordero…heck even Miguel Cleto would dominate with a certain someone from Rutherford Frazier Robertson deal all these years ago now.

Would even take former MIL first rounder who almost never won a game as a starter but had decent raw stuff.  Not Medeiros, the other one.

I do not think that's a very good rotation. Potentially one of the worst in baseball. Why? Martin and Cannon are cannon fodder IMO. Make them relievers. Crochet is great even though some teams have pummeled him. Thorpe verdict is out. Hitters don't fear his heater at all so will he thrive as a junk baller or not?
