Benintendi over the last 30 days has an OPS almost .900 lol

Two walks tonight, is this just a fluke?

Hopefully not.  Hopefully he keeps it up and can either be a league average LF or can be traded with some money kicked in by the Sox.  He should not be included in any trade of Crochet or Robert in the offseason.

He could be Barry Bonds, and the Sox would want to get rid of that contract.

I think they want to get rid of him more than they want to get rid of the contract.

This doesn’t make much sense.  The Sox have had far worse players under big contracts that barely played due to being injury-prone and sucked even when they actually did play (see Moncada and Eloy).

Benintendi at least stays healthy and plays, and now he is actually on a hot streak.

I mean this respectfully, but it’s easier if you don’t try to make sense of things they do/will do.  It’s a mom and pop diner trying to go up against legit franchises.

Then there’s no hope for anything with this team.  If what you say is true, they are all non-sensical idiots that have no idea what they are doing.  You just finally dumped Moncada and Eloy in the same offseason, but you are going to get cheap and greedy and also dump Benintendi in a trade of Crochet or Robert to screw over your return?  Stupid as sh1t.

The 2003 Detroit Tigers were 31-93 after 125 games

Sox are 30-94 (Sox +1.0 GB, .241 Win %)

Sox need to go 13-25 to tie the 03 Tigers (43-119)

13-25 is a .341 Win %

Over the last 10 games, the Sox are 3-7 (.300 Win %)

Over the last 30 games, the Sox are 3-27 (.100 Win %)

Sox opponents to finish out the year:

1 @ HOU, 3 @ SFG, 4 vs DET, 3 vs TEX, 3 vs NYM, 3 @ BAL, 3 @ BOS, 3 vs CLE, 3 vs OAK, 3 @ LAA, 3 @ SD, 3 vs LAA, 3 @ DET

You're exactly correct there is no hope until new ownership arrives.

And I believe this is the 18th straight game the Sox have lost that Flexen has started.

You mean Flexen didn’t have trade value at the deadline?!?

At least we can look forward to next April when the Sox go 8-22 and are out of the race after 3 weeks.

Your version of horrible is actually a 2 game improvement over our 6-24 start to this season.
