I feel pretty good about the future of the pitching staff, at least.

White Sox Wet Dream is a staff headed by Crochet, Schultz, and Smith

With those 3 at the top then Thorpe and one of Iriarte, Ky Bush, or Burke as the 4 and 5 starters that could be a damn formidable rotation.

I’m squinting and crossing my eyes really hard to see a playoff team in our future but it’s just not coming into focus.

It's all predicated on Crochet turning into a great trade asset or inexplicably reversing course and the White Sox bending over backwards to accommodate him with an extension offer that's "fairer."  We know exactly how likely that has been the last 5-10 years with pitchers on the Sox roster.

Yea… I’m still squinting my ass off and am having trouble seeing clearly. I might be stuck this way, should I call the doctor?

Looks like the goal is to bring his total to ~100 innings this year. Should be a good base to build from.

Which puts him on track for 150ish next year, and then he will be ready for 180-200 innings pretty easily by 2026.

And traded for a 35 year old middle infielder by 2027.
