What's up guys. I haven't been on for a while. I'm sure most of u remember me. I've kinda tried to get away from White Sox talk after the DISSAPOINTING 2003 season ended. But with that i'm kinda behind on my Sox info. I know Thomas, Valentin, and Loaiza will be back. But other than that what's been goin on? We gonna make any trades or additions? Will we have a competitive team next year? Can we somehow have a Cubs type season "without blowing a 3-1 lead in the lcs"? Anybody with any info please let me know...

Something tells me this year could be ugly. Cito said he would only manage the team if they were given a legit chance of competing. I'm still not sure if we went with Ozzie because JR's a cheap piece of s*** or because Cito turned down the deal, learning what the team plans to do next year, and Ozzie accepted the job because he wanted to become manager of the White Sox, regardless.

I've actually heard a Maggs or Lee and Valentin for Perez, Isturis and some prospects, which I don't think is that bad of a deal. Here's the article from Phil Rogers bout all the Dodgers and Sox deals.

If Evans had the flexibility to take on a little payroll, he could make a huge splash by using Perez and perhaps Izturis and one of his young relievers to pry Magglio Ordonez and offensive-minded shortstop Jose Valentin away from the Chicago White Sox, who are forced to pare down payroll before they can re-sign their own free agents, who include Carl Everett, Robbie Alomar and Tom Gordon. The Sox are listening to offers for the ultra-reliable Ordonez -- Manny Ramirez without the migraines -- because he figures to explore free agency after 2004, in which he's due $14 million.

But the White Sox's outfielder Evans appears focused on is Carlos Lee, who set career-highs in 2003 with 31 home runs and 113 RBI. A trade of Lee and Valentin for Perez and Izturis makes sense.

Evans also has some interest in Sox first baseman Paul Konerko, who averaged 26 homers and 95 RBI in 1999-2002 before slipping to .234-18-65 last season. The White Sox would love to move Konerko, who is owed $16.75 million over the next two years.

Let's not get down on Ozzie, folks.

Get down on Reinsdork if anybody.

Ozzie will be fine if we have the talent.

If we don't have the talent, we'll be .480 to .520 team

again because our Sox don't try hard when we're not

smoking the competition.

exactly what I am thinking - and fear - wonder if we will win 72 games in 2004
