Yeah, they're bringing Iriarte up to appease the 18 fans who even know who he is. Some of you guys need to touch grass. The announcer (McKnight maybe?) was saying, get this, the plan is to have him pitch one inning in relief every 3-5 days. He'll start and finish the inning. He won't inherit any baserunners. The announcer stressed all season he's been a starter. So I don't get this. Why make him a reliever now?? As much as I hate openers if he HAS to pitch just one inning, make him the damn opener. He better not get hurt suddenly becoming a reliever. The announcer on postgame said he's had problems 'some games' walking people. Other games he's hardly walked any. He was in the Cease deal I think so he better be good! Anybody else disagree with how the Sox are handling his role? One inning max, a clean inning in relief at some point in the game.
