Biggs said everything today without saying anything - it’s clear the offensive players don’t respect Waldron or think highly of him.

It is funny. Flus could have hired Kingsbury but just like Pooes didn’t go after Harbaugh cause he was scared of Jim…I think flus was scared Kliff and his charisma would cost Flus his job….

Another Chicago coach being kept around way longer than they should when everyone knew they needed a change. How fitting.

It's the one trait truly all the owners share in this town. No one is willing to be aggressive. They make moves only when they are forced to, not when it's simply the right thing to do. There isn't a single fan in this city that would have taken issue with Flus getting canned in the offseason, but they stuck by their guy, and we're seeing the results. Now they'll be forced to make a move when the win 7 games this season, and fall into the same trap every Bears team before them fell into, and wonder how it happened, or why it's not working.

I mean, lol he was RIGHT to be scared about that.  But he shouldn’t have been, and it was the right move for his QB development

Kmet's usage is no surprise.  He is deemed the 5th option in the shiney car offense that due to a lack of an O line does nto work.

Kmet's usage went up when Allen was out.  Now we need to get Allen the ball over Kmet.

I think Poles is good at his job but I am not yet certain.  The trade with Carolina is awesome but in reality they wanted to see if Fields could progress that year.  Other then that what has he really accomplished?  His coaching hires seem poor at best and this team could end up 5-12 really quick this year.

Totally neglecting the O line is a huge offense and then handing out picks for bad WRs (allen and Claypool).

Waldron is awful as was Getsy.

Poles has not accomplished much at all. He lucked into getting the #1 pick two years in a row. We are in year 3 of his rebuild and the playoffs this year seem like a distant pipedream. Next year will bring a whole new coaching staff for the Bears and their supposed generational quarterback. There are bound to be more bumps in the road as Caleb and company learn a whole new offense.

Dude is looking more and more like Rick Hahn 2.0 with each passing day unfortuntaely.

Not every decision carries the same weight, but there has been more good than bad with Poles. He's brought in a good amount of talent via the draft, and while there was luck involved in getting the No. 1 pick from Carolina, there is an element of good fortune or "luck" with most moves GM's make. At the end of the day, luck or not, he hit it right with the trade, one of the best, most lopsided trades in sports history.

His two biggest whiffs have been the Claypool trade, and not bringing in a new staff around Caleb during Year 1. I actually didn't even hate the Claypool trade as on paper it was done for the right reasons, they just simply didn't do enough homework on Claypool the person.

I'd be surprised given their schedule if they win seven games.

They really should try and trade Keenan.

He’s playing for his next contract, maybe there’s some pressure behind the scenes to throw him the ball more

Even if there isn’t, we aren’t receiving any compensation after he leaves this season. May as well see who is interested

That’d be an ideal situation. No question Flus would be fired.

Now if the finish 9-8, with several wins against divisional opponents and improvements from Caleb, will they keep Flus?

If I’m Poles, I’d see what OL help would be available for that Panthers second round pick

I know Poles likes giving up 2nd rounders, but 3 picks in the first 2 rounds seems darn useful to this Bears team. Moreso than taking on salary this year.

Yes standing pat was right. I would have traded Keenan cause I think there are too many egos and too much pressure on Caleb right now to spread the love. It was a good idea on paper but hindsight having Keenan and Moore wasn’t a great idea…Rome was fine although I always said I was fine going down and taking an olinen and than another wideout later cause I thought this wideout class was stocked.

I was excited about Rome, but I said that day I draft O line early and often after Caleb.

Kennan was needed but became redundant when Rome was available in the draft.

Bears coaches not using their players correctly?! I'm shocked...

Half the season is left and we have a rookie QB who has gone through ups and downs, unsurprisingly. This feels like the time where you hit pause - really self scout and course correct and start dialing in and optimizing offense for what works.  Get more playmakers involved, dial in the plays that are working, shrink the playbook, find some more "easy" throws to get your QB in rhythm, make sure you have some scheme plays for Kmet and Moore early - quick slants, etc that get the team rolling.

Also - the above is really interesting - it does feel like with Allen he is really slow - but has that old man game - so let him leverage his body and footwork in a more crisp role to get him those "easier" throws and completions as well.  Get Caleb to focus on that too - but you also have to have some targeted shots.  But this feels like a - we got to really tighten the playbook and work with players and offense to really dial this in.

The issue is clearly their is a huge lack of trust on offensive side of the ball - I think defensive side of the house is in very good order, despite some down's the past 2 weeks (last week they were pretty beat up).  But things can go real bad if the offense doesn't start to take meaningful steps forward.

If they lose, I think we see Waldron fired - not sure Thomas Brown can immediately change things - but I won't deny play calling matters as does details.  Too big of a playbook can drive you to be sloppier on the details.  Too much too soon can do the same.  Too simple has issues as well.

Saw this on X and it makes sense to me.  They do not scheme guys open.  Their scheme seems abysmal.

With that porous offensive line can you blame them?

Crucial huge mistake by the front office, you have a possible franchise quarterback and you surround him with five sacks of you know what.
