The Bears only have one more win than the Carolina Panthers. This organization is heading fast in the wrong direction. Everyone deserves to be fired including Poles and Kevin Warren.  Bringing in a whole new regime this offseason is the only way to salvage what is left of this rebuild and hopefully build towards a competitive team in 2 or 3 years.

They need to address the offensive line. They cannot get away with mediocrity at best there. It's not a great OL to start out, and when every starter is hurt, it's Division III.

one thing that is really starting to stink like a fish is this trace armstrong connection. So we do this massive OC search and they settle, once again, on a Trace Armstrong guy?

I'd almost ban Poles from hiring from him the next round (or let ben johnson pick his Gm because IDGAF anymore)

Yeah - its terrible.

I read somewhere that Eberflus signed an extension and there is no way he isn't coaching the team in 2025 unless there is some health reason. Seems fishy. This season goes down the tubes, I don't see how you can possibly bring him back.

There is no way that is true.  That is a rumor I won't believe.  I can understand why you don't move on from him now, because you don't have an OC or someone else to turn this thing over to to be the HC.  But even than - at this point it feels so bad (now maybe the defensive room is still pretty locked in - so you think you can get a big lift by just getting rid of Waldron and turning it over to Brown so it can be his show).

I DO NOT believe you can keep Waldron in the building and just get rid of his play calling.  At this point - a real change has to happen.

In fairness - last week was as banged up as an oline can get...but the Bears have some guys who have consistently been banged up which is on them. Now on paper it still isn't a great oline and some of the scheme / talent eval seems to be missing. Not sure which.

I expect the oline will improve with their 2 starting tackles back and with Bates getting more footing. If you get your tackles back with Bates and Jenkins and Shelton in the middle - I'm not saying it is great, but that is a big step up from what played most of yesterday.

But I think you do it with a new OC who potentially makes tweaks - and at this point - I think simpler has to be the trend of direction cause there is only so much you can change in an offense during the course of a season, which is what makes it hard.

However - how they haven't isolated Moore and Kmet and others on key plays and split the field to simplify things for the QB just isn't good. They obviously don't have a go-to way to run the ball, but it seems like we need a hard reset. I don't expect a lot that can be done - but they have to do stuff different.

I'm out. Firing no one after the last three weeks is absolutely unacceptable. They are an unserious franchise. Their No.1 focus is not about the team on the field. They don't deserve our attention or time, just like every other franchise in this town.

They went 6 quarters without targeting Kmet. What kind of idiot is calling the plays?

Are you serious - they aren't making any changes.  That makes ZERO sense.

Exactly - I see no scenario where keeping Waldron makes any sense.  If you guys are saying they aren't getting rid of them than lets just continue to expect the worst.

The BLANK are broken offensively in a way that could not have been anticipated during training camp or even a couple of months ago.

BLANKS loss on Thursday night was the latest example of an offense that's filled with talent but is awful on third downs, inefficient in the red zone and sometimes has game plans that don't make sense.

Coach BLANK sounds fed up. He came as close as he ever does to calling out a member of his coaching staff with his comments about BLANKS offense on Friday.

"We have unique talents and we got to make sure we're maximizing that and I feel like we're not," BLANK said. "I feel like we're not seeing stuff."

Who can fill in the blanks...

Let me guess, Waldron's previous boss.

The Seattle Seahawks are broken offensively in a way that could not have been anticipated during training camp or even a couple of months ago.

Seattle's 31-13 loss to San Francisco on Thursday night was the latest example of an offense that's filled with talent but is awful on third downs, inefficient in the red zone and sometimes has game plans that don't make sense.

Coach Pete Carroll sounds fed up. He came as close as he ever does to calling out a member of his coaching staff with his comments about Seattle's offense on Friday.

"We have unique talents and we got to make sure we're maximizing that and I feel like we're not," Carroll said. "I feel like we're not seeing stuff."

Carroll was then asked if that was a criticism of offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and his game plans.

"I just want to emphasize in that direction because we're fighting to get it right. I want to emphasize the guys as much as we can, see if we can maximize the players even more so," he said.

The Steelers can get away with running basically FOUR routes for their receiving corps....and get into the playoffs or at least finish .500 or above for 17 consecutive years or something like that, so how is it THAT hard for all of the teams in Chicago?

Two QB's that looked on the verge of playing themselves out of the league both look "dangerous" or at least not woeful/pathetic like Matt Rodgers in NY.

I'll admit surprise that nothing was done today. That was pretty rough yesterday.

I agree - but I don’t get why they don’t address quicker. But I guess as long as they do by tomorrow the players have a day to get their minds adjusted before practice starts on Wednesday…but it feels like you’d want the coaches staying to have a day to get their message and approach dialed in so they can hit ground running on Wednesday.

Sounds like Waldron may not be long for the Bears…

We’re already having the “(Insert Bears QB) is our starter” statement, lol.

When I stepped away from the local talk radio, blog, YouTube environment, it really highlighted the difference in how we’re viewing his struggles. I’d say most of the local focus is on the coaching, OL. Nationally, Caleb is getting destroyed. And there’s a lot of analysis video suggesting he has been terrible.

Not that one side is wrong or right, but I do feel local fans are just trying not to think of the possibility they picked the wrong QB (again)

I have no idea why he declared Caleb was the starter, nobody is asking that question.  The only question regarding him in that position is “why are you letting your 1-1 pick get killed at the end of blowout games with two minutes left?” But obviously Flus can’t answer that question, because that is an indicting question for him

I was curious if someone asked him about Caleb being the starter or if that was unprompted. Sounds like it was the latter and oh boy

I didn’t listen to all of the press conference but I didn’t hear anyone question if Caleb is to remain the starter.  For him to throw that out there as if THAT was the question, and not the relative status of his employment, was a choice.

but if you have noticed, the last three weeks Flus has spent a lot of time in front of that Mic repeating that everyone has his back and he has a great relationship with the team

It’s situations like these where I always wonder whether the subject is tone deaf or willfully ignorant and which of those is the worse option.
