Nance was literally told in the game prep by the Chiefs that they knew Allen liked to go off tackle when given the short yardage spot, they demonstrated they could stop it on the goal line earlier in the game. You could see that they knew how to stack the spots he was going to. Do something different!!!! Expand On the goal line they went between left guard and tackle twice and got stopped as well...previously, running away from Chris Jones. One of the great mysteries of the game was going away from Cook after the third quarter TD drive and relying way too much on Johnson. Cook has had a nose for the end zone and tough yards all season. Vibes are high the last 10 days with them landing Johnson (want to be clear, doesn't mean it will translate on the field, vibes are high on hiring the big name out there) There have also been a lot of names thrown out there in the rumor mill, and most importantly, Dennis Allen, Al Harris, were both really well-respected names and hires. When Declan Doyle was announced, it sort of came out of nowhere and wasn't a big name that has history to look at. I think that's where the "frustration" came in with people. But right now, BJ deserves the benefit of the doubt.

MexSoxFan#1
I don't believe there's a league wide conspiracy to help KC win it all, but with a team as good as KC, all it takes is a 50/50 call here and there go their way and they'll find a way to eek out a close win. Philly needs to blow them out because they aren't winning a close game vs KC. Fortunately the Eagles D is stout and hopefully Barkley can have a great game.

Expand The other obvious thing with KC is that they don't beat themselves. They will come in well prepared and execute their game plan. It will be up to the opponent to be better. The Bills made a couple of fairly minor errors, but they were enough that they couldn't overcome it. They also had a notable pair of missing guys in their secondary, that clearly hurt a lot, it opened up the passing game a lot for KC. Had those guys been healthy I think that may turn the game. But other than that, you have to recognize when they're ready for a play and not keep running it.

Expand They clearly wanted to take away Kelce...but that opened up Worthy and Valdez-Scantling for some big plays. Mahomes is still adjusting to Hollywood Brown...two more weeks now to get their timing down. And crazy how much the Eagles' terrible 2023 defense improved simply with the addition of two rookie DBs, but Cooper DeJean really fits the blue collar/lunch pail Philly image to a tee. They should have used "Jimbo" Cook more...but they really seem to believe in Ty Johnson, claiming he's the best third down back in the NFL. Still think the Bills' offense was much more dangerous in 2023 with a happy Diggs...but Cook really boosted the rushing attack. Not sure why they went away from that...part of it was a function of training in the 4th.
