I completely agree.

It’s about survival more than his development at this point. That ball needs to thrown in under 2.5 seconds. Whether to a receiver, out of bounds, or buried in the ground. That I don't agree - I don't think Caleb getting destroyed is good for Caleb...even if it means a quick exodus for Poles.

I wasn’t hoping for that either. Only that with the lack of front line protection, Caleb’ well being depends on quickly releasing the football. And if those quick throws lead to interceptions, so be it. I imagine we will know early how the line holds up. BIG assignment from Kiran today filling in for Braxton. I mean, everyone could have seen this coming. This is not an NFL line, 72 should not be starting under any circumstance. But here we are.

Flash Tizzle Posted yesterday at 01:47 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:47 AM I can’t even be excited for that interception, because I doubt the ability of this offense to move the ball 80 yards (in the 1st half)

fathom Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM Caleb has absolutely no touch on his passes. Good news is no way do they hire Thomas Brown.

Aikman has been rightfully critical of Williams. Usually we get the 3rd string announcers who hold back, but this game has really shown how far off he is. Caleb looks terrible. If he doesn’t drastically improve next season, we may need to have some uncomfortable questions about his future.

Zero blame on Williams as this s%*# show is an absolute joke, Not a single non player in that organization has any credability.

Caleb deserves some blame. He had some bad O lines at USC and still wasn’t missing receivers by 10 yards, or just not recognizing open receivers directly in front of him. Feeling pressure and just not playing with confidence. He should be okay and he had plenty of good this season but he kind of just needs to play free - but they also have to make his reads easier and faster and more multi dimensional. I am resetting entire org - let’s see if Warren can be different than Ted Phillips at hiring.
Lip Man 1 Posted yesterday at 05:09 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:09 AM Embarrassing. Regarding Poles, the Sun-Times has a story tonight that talks about three possible outcomes: 1. He gets fired 2. Warren gives him a contract extension since he has made improvement in the roster overall and has major cap flexibility 3. Poles resigns himself. https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2024/12/16/kevin-warren-believes-in-ryan-poles-until-he-doesnt https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2024/12/16/big-decision-on-next-head-coach-bigger-doubt-about-whether-bears-are-up-to-it-bill-belichick-george-mccaskey
