The absolute only way I'm okay with drafting him is if you pick up two of the premiere OL guys in free agency, and then another one with one of the second round picks (with the other pick being DL). Even then makes me nervous.

They can draft whoever they want at 10 if they get Smith and Dalman in FA.

There's a good crop of IOL you can possibly draft in the 2nd round (Zabel, Savaiinaea, Jackson) to fill the other guard spot. I personally don't think Jeanty is worth the #10 pick given how loaded this draft is at RB, but if Ben Johnson wants him that badly, then who am I to judge? One thing I will say is that drafting someone like Banks or Simmons at 10 is also building towards the 2026 roster. With Jones possibly leaving in FA, you can start either one of those guys at LG and then kick them out to LT after Jones leaves.

I love that. There’s no sense investing in running backs when there’s so much greater of a need upfront. The most productive running backs of my lifetime were Matt Forte and Thomas Jones (signed, not drafted by the Bears). I’d feel better about drafting one high and hitting on one like those guys if they had a solid line upfront.

The trenches are the most important positions on the field after QB. Having said that QBs are better when they have time as are RB and others skilled positions

Both offensive and defensive lines should've been prioritize last year but Poles prioritized RB , WR, and punter even after seeing how much the defense improve once they started having a pass rush. He hung Sweat out to dry and got him no help.

He hung Williams out to dry by trying to patchwork the O line. He's lucky Williams wasn't mangled.

Hopefully our new head coach sees that and knows you build from the ground up and not from the top down.

KC 21-19

Their win is overshadowed by several terrible,  late 4th quarter officiating calls which is the final push for the NFL to expand instant reply and change what is allowed to be challenged.

I’m not even thinking of the “NFL is rigged for KC” conspiracy. It’s a very difficult sport to officiate, and during a close game on the big stage everything will be magnified. All anyone wants (unless on the winning side of the call) is the right decision. Maybe the NFL needs a national embarrassment to get it right in the long run
