Why is Skip Schumacher the flavor of the week? Why's he so great? Can u imagine when he interviews with Jerry? Hopefully some of these guys tell Jerry what he doesn't want to hear. That his team is pathetic, has a mediocre at best minor league system and it's probably going to take at least five years to win. To tell him their trading pieces of Robert and Crochet will NOT bring a haul and the absence of Crochet will make the pitching staff even worse. But we have to trade him to 'try' to get 3-4 guys who are either MLB ready or close to it. Telling Jerry that Vaughn and Sheets are our best two sluggers on paper but they are not good. And that Fletcher and all those guys like Colas are not good either. And of course that Beni would not start for any other team. He also cannot hit.

Jerry ... give me five years is the message a smart manager would give to JR.

Benintendi and Robert

661 and 660 ops...all u need to know.

Pham and DeBong the only two over 700 while Sox this year.

Beckham career 667

Getz a hefty 616

  • "Skip Schumaker's contract is set to expire at the end of this season, and he is leaving the Miami Marlins. Schumaker's reputation has been enhanced over his two years with the Marlins, and there is a lot of industry speculation that he might prefer to oversee a West Coast team in his next managerial gig. But he doesn't have the career longevity of someone like Bruce Bochy, A.J. Hinch or Cora, so his name could pop up with any opening that develops."

Willie Harris will come back to manage the Sox 20 years after winning the World Series with the team. What a feel good story it will be. We won't even notice a third straight 100 loss season.

see who's available from the Royals, that will be the guy

Exactly.  I seriously won’t be surprised when Schumaker goes to any other team and the Sox then start up the Sizemore hype and say he was their managerial choice all along.

This is going to happen.  Especially after winning two in Oakland and almost two at California, you can almost hear them saying “Grady has them ready to play and grind it out each and every day.”

He’s perfect for Jerry’s eventual excuse making…

He’s a young manager that can “relate to the Sox young prospects”, he’s a known name from his playing days, and he’ll be super cheap.

I totally expect this to happen once Schumaker runs away from this shitshow like a house on fire.
