Lots of mistakes from either taking eyes of the ball, not taking a step in instantly and letting the ball play him or not thinking ahead and knowing his positioning dictates an attempt to turn a DP by going to 2nd if fielded cleanly. It's good he can play all inield positions but he needs a lot of reps . His bat may be coming around. Its not like the Sox have much better choices even if they add Ramos ,Baldwin and Montgomery to the infield mix next year. He did go 1st to 3rd a few times also if I want to evaluate his game today fairly. He's thekind of guy you keep or trade like you can trade any of the mid twenty's OFs like Fletcher,Deloach, Colas. Fletcher is a no power corner, Deloach similar, Colas with the most upside but he's like the Sox poster boy for what's wrong with the Sox Intl. Spending scouting and development. You wonder if anyone is scouting some of these guys work ethic, coachability, and drive along with the tools. We’ve seen so many plays from left to home the last two years where he didn’t even have enough arm strength to reach the catcher on the fly.
