In the end, I think my setup will still be cheaper than what I was paying for Xfinity cable bundle because I still had Prime, Netflix, HBO and Disney anyway.

That’s a lot of paid streaming services.

Stremio + Torrentio + Real Debrid + VPN = watch anything

It looks like the channel listed was wrong, in central Iowa 19.4 comes up as CHSN but there’s just a screen saying programming isn’t available

So far in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa market the channel doesn't seem active.  The channel comes in very clear but so far I have only seen infomercials being broadcast.  Maybe I should look for a different channel but I feel I have scrolled thru all of them and found nothing...

Sounds about right.

Might as well play Cedar Rapids Reds games from the 1980s with Eric Davis...would outdraw the Sox still.

Or big rivalry games with the Waterloo squad.

They have a [email protected] email that might be worth contacting

They literally switched the channel here in central Iowa to the 19.3 that was previously listed, and update the website to the 19.4 channel that it now used to be broadcasting on

The directions for the phone app is in the manual which come with the unit.

Is this what you have? I have a Samsung smart TV so I wondered how well it would work with the TV. I’d rather buy something that works rather than be left with something that doesn’t, but it sounds like this has worked for you rather well.

What do you do for internet if you don’t have Xfinity cable and what does internet cost you now? Also, does anyone know what Comcast will take away if I ask for Marquee to be removed?

Agree. I need streaming  so I rent the xFi Advanced Gateway (XB8), their latest and greatest.

I have the RCA antenna in my attic for CSHN.

How is that working for you and where are you located? I’m in Woodridge and am considering an antenna by my TV, but could be persuaded to use something in my attic if it gives better results. I mostly don’t want to buy an antenna if it doesn’t work.

Beast: I am out 15 miles further than Woodridge and the broadcast picture on my OLED is indistinguishable from cable.

Outdoor/Attic antennas are directional so you need to point the small side toward the Hancock. You can get the angle to point it from https://www.antennasdirect.com/transmitter-locator.html

This is not a hard task, especially if you can locate existing cable TV RG6 running to your TV in the attic near your attic scuttle hole.  Obviously there are antenna contractors if you don't want to or are not able to do this. That's me anymore.

Now they switched the Cedar Rapids channel back to the "coming soon" column!

I don't know where else to put this but Brian Anderson is a terrible analyst. I like McGuffey but Anderson ruins their podcast for me

Former Sox CFer NW coach or the LHP?

Well Anderson was entitled/lazy for pretty much his entire baseball career since AZ so this can't come as much of a surprise.

At least he makes Gordon Beckham come off as more of a pro?

So I looked into an antenna for my house and found a bunch of cables downstairs leading to different parts of the house - outside, up through the floor to extend to the three seasons room, up in the attic and into the bedrooms. Then, when my dad and I were putting some lights so we could see in the attic at our main staircase and my wife’s closet, we found an antenna set up with a cable connected in the attic and on the east side of the house. We found the cable that hooked up to the TVs, an input and output box in the basement and some cables with a tag that said “ANT” on it. Once those were plugged in, the tv found all of the channels through the air, including CHSN. It was pretty sweet that we had an antenna all set up just sitting there in the attic. Good thing the previous owner didn’t have it taken down when they got Direct TV and then Comcast.
