I kind of enjoy the info that Harold provides to the board (for free by the way). All of the bitching and moaning about him and his info is fucking absurd. It would suck if he went away or stopped sharing with random message board people.

Who has been bitching & moaning about the info Harold provides?

Harold and Jimmy read the threads to offer valuable insight and answer questions. Nobody is making you tell people they have their heads up their asses because they  ...... [checks notes] ...... don't validate your anger about baseball.

Can you stop dragging your hurt feelings into every single thread?  I know you think you are on some crusade, but it literally ruins every thread you drag this into.

Oh for the days when Hahn was a god who could do no wrong....vanquishing KW to the wayside.

And Haber still had the sheen of his Stanford degree at least.

I still think Hahn got screwed over. When he announced the TLR signing, it seemed like he was reporting a death, which in essence, he was

That's extremely random

Just as good as whatever else we have…

”In addition to Will Venable, Phil Nevin and George Lombard (and others), the White Sox may interview Red Sox legend Jason Varitek for manager.”

Then he should have been a man and resigned.

This is true.

No one is going to turn down stupid Jerry’s free money.  Pay to make me leave.  Just ask Kenny and Grifol.

If he would have left before 2021 when TLR was hired, he still would have been able to get another job in baseball.

So a GM salary for two years vs. Asst GM and possibly another shot at it over 5-8 more years in the game.

Which is true, but ironically, not turning down Jerry’s free money probably cost him a shot at ever being a GM of an MLB team ever again. No way any team will ever hire him in that role now, although if they looked at his work before the rebuild, they most likely would never hire him anyway,

Hiring Phil Nevin is going to be such a White Sox thing.  Venable checks every box which means he is to good for this organization and will scare them off.  TLR is an awful front office guy.  Another guy where sadly we need his health to drive him out of keeping our fandom in the gutter.

At the very least, it seems like they’re going through a real process this time and conducting an actual search. Although I’m sure they’ll hire the wrong guy in the end.

I don’t know what their process was, but the definitely went through a process with real interviews in 2022, to wind up with Grifol.

So his opinion is different than the echo chamber on here? Oh the horror.

This s%*# is hilarious and especially coming from you.  Most of us know and understand that you guys have inside sources but when you act like condescending assholes because you do, people are going to call you on it.  Harold quite literally started a Jarred Kelenic thread on this board to try and prove he was the smartest person in the room so get out of here with this echo chamber BS cause it's BS.

I am not sure which podcast, either Locked on White Sox or Future Sox were discussing the managerial candidates, and it was mentioned that there is not a clear-cut fan's pick and that it could go in any direction.

And as a final chefs kiss, when people write the history of this era, and there’s a footnote about the team that broke the all time loss record, it will note that the team was assembled by GMs Chris Getz and Rick Hahn. So his cowardice has left him in the record books for doing a terrible job. Beautiful.
