It’s a ruse to keep Grady’s price tag down. They want to offer him no more than $2/hour more than the $15 he was making last year.

Because he worked in LAA and has to know the deal-- saber decision comes up from FO and you are using it in the game. You have no choice. And especially him, he has no other jobs to interview for right now, and has already managed before. The saber thing should implemented and pushed by the FO; i dont need the manager to be an ivy leaguer. his biggest role (in 2024) is keeping players loose and motivated

I wish that were the Sox, even if we got swept by the Dodgers. Funny that a franchise that is almost as bad as the Sox is considering 2 of the 3 same hires, but the one they’re not considering is the clear worst choice and the one we all know the Sox will pick.

There’s an actual analogy in there somewhere relative to the Chicago White Flops.
WestEddy
So....Grady Sizemore is no longer under consideration? The Chicago White Sox and Miami Marlins could find themselves in a battle over the same managerial candidates. The White Sox's three finalists for their managerial vacancy are Texas Rangers associate manager Will Venable, former Los Angeles Angels manager Phil Nevin, and… — Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) October 29, 2024

TheFutureIsNear
Nevin is for sure going to be hire. Probably the only candidate that I had a negative opinion on. Just doesn’t feel like a guy that is going to move this franchise forward out of the Stone Age.
