Well, it wasn't enough that he screwed up Game 1 defensively.  He came back and did it again in game 5. Where will he play next year?

Hopefully not on the White Sox. The team already has enough problems.

I get that it was largely more on Cole, but it is shocking everytime I watch the play that he is unable to get to first. The runner was hustling, but Rizzo made a decision real fast that he no longer had an out at first that seems crazy. He may have been right, but come on, you could hustle and slide into the base

Imagine having this much of a hang up on Rizzo because you made a bad argument about Vaughn 😂

Just a Diamond Club comment, man.  Sorry it offended you.

I’m very offended so I made a thread about it in another forum, so true

That play will haunt Cole for the rest of his life.  Get your dumbass over there.

Yeah, as bad as the Judge and Volpe errors were they are irrelevant if Cole hustles and covers first.  Lack of effort is worse than a physical error in my book.

Eh, I think it goes both ways. Yeah Cole should've ran over but in my opinion Rizzo also should have charged the baseball instead of letting it come to him...it was a slow enough roller to do that, and then his momentum would have carried him to first making it a close play. Both players should have been aggressive, at the very least one of them, but both were passive, and it was costly.

Rizzo is a former good 1B that is now past his prime.

Vaughn is a never was.

Rizzo screwed up two big plays in a five-game series. Vaughn had nothing to do with that. Period, paragraph.

You brought up, and compared Vaughn to Rizzo.  I’m sorry we keep reminding you that two mental errors aren’t greater than an entire career

Congrats.

Rizzo is a 3x All-Star, a 4x Gold Glover, and has a World Series ring.

Meanwhile, Vaughn hasn’t even OPS’ed over .750 in his career.

Vaughn has sucked way more than Rizzo has in their respective careers.

Like I said, Rizzo will be remembered years from now.  No one will remember the scrub 1B Andrew Vaughn when he winds up out of the MLB entirely in a few years.

I'm not arguing that Vaughn is better than Rizzo, but what a weird flex. Rizzo started playing in 2011.

How much longer do you think Vaughn’s MLB career is going to last at this rate, considering his offensive and defensive production?

The fact that Rizzo has already proven it in his career while Vaughn has been mediocre for 4 years bolsters my point.  Rizzo has done it while Vaughn is running out of time before he joins the Schaumburg Boomers.
