Tnetennba
I could see a team take a flyer on him on a 1 year prove it deal. But him staying healthy and proving it seems pretty unlikely.

He probably already spent a ton of money on his music video's, lifestyle, and singing career, he'll be motivated$$$$$$

I tend to agree with the health issues you noted when it comes to Moncada, but I would not be surprised at all if he had a comeback season with a team like the Dodgers. kitekrazy
I don't hate on him. I feel sorry. There is no organization that has a faith healer for his career. The injury bug transfers to a different team.
Texsox
I'm sad actually. He was one of the signings I was really excited about. We were working that Cuba connection. It's just a reminder of when we were on top of the world and reasonably expecting multiple championship seasons. Good luck to him.

chw42
That Chris Sale trade sure sucked. We got maybe 15 WAR out of it.

Balta1701
Prediction: Moncada signs a FA deal in Houston to replace Bregman. Is an all star next year.

I won't call him "trash," a word that's been on all the news cycles. It's kind of dehumanizing word.

nitetrain8601
Watch the Sox resign him, lol In all honesty, he needs to be a utility guy if he wants to extend his career beyond his next contract. Be a backup 3B/1B on a contender or go to TB to see if they could somehow heal you and fix you.

Kopech was already pitching like this at the time of the trade. The Sox failure with him was to not recognize this and pull him back to potentially get more in the offseason. The injuries and lack of playing time, plus going into his age 30 season are all working against Moncada. 1
ChiSox59
I wish Yoan the best. He was always Charmin Soft, but the talent is there. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see him but put him 3+ WAR season in 2025 IF he can play 120+ games. Huge if though, obviously. I bet he gets more than most think to. I'd say 1 year $5-7M with some attainable performance incentives. He'll certainly have a lot of play for, and is still a well above average defensive 3B.
