Why in the world would we want two years of Bohm?  Do a three way trade if necessary, but holy s%*# Getz him and Lux don’t do s%*# for us.

It sure sounds like the Phillies ran Bohm by Getz. Why would Getz be asking about Bohm if they're concerned about his 2024 2nd half?

Maybe the Sox are getting a better prospect package if they take him off their hands?

Bohm is worth his projected $8.5M salary, so you’d almost certainly be taking less prospects with his inclusion.  I think the reality would love use him instead of additional prospects and then replace him via free agency.

Jim Bowden, who is a clown, was asked about a package including Kjerstad and Beavers from the O's and sounded very sure that for Crochet it would require ONE of Basallo or Mayo.

The Athletic’s Jim Bowden reported that the Red Sox could include Triston Casas in a trade package for White Sox LHP Garrett Crochet.

While Bowden is speculating on the exact trade package the Red Sox would offer for Crochet, it’s interesting to note his mention of Casas since there has been lots of reporting this offseason that the Red Sox are looking to move Rafael Devers off of third base. If the Red Sox were to sign a third baseman and move Devers to first base then they may view Casas as a palatable trade option if it nets them a potential difference-making starter like Crochet. Bowden suggested that “a package of Casas, Wilyer Abreu, and Connor Wong probably gets close to landing Crochet. The Red Sox could then replace Abreu with prospect Roman Anthony in right field, replace Wong with Kyle Teel at catcher.”

5 years of control, 5 years of control, and 5 tears of control, while getting zero of Boston's top 10 prospects.

Again, I can't help but wonder if this is a way to included Benny in a deal and defray some of the money for Philly.

I would be surprised if the Sox took back players who have already burned service time as the main pieces in return

Logic would suggest prospects who have not had their clocks started yet is in the Sox best interests

No way Getz waters down a Crochet deal by including Benintendi

He's already getting flack for his previous trades and knows he cannot blow this one

There is no man in Chicago with better job security than Chris Getz as long as he keeps Jerrry happy.  He undertook a successful coup, and it is his castle now.  Seeing what he is saying now, he does not sound like a man who is feeling any pressure.

The Sox are a disater, and watering down the trade return of your best trade asset would be criminal

You have to receive prospects with blue chip upside if you are moving him

Actually only 4 years of control for Casas and Wong.  Let’s help the Red Sox re-tool their lineup and get younger while we get older!

Oh, no don't get me wrong, I think it is an absolutely idiotic idea, but based on the previous reports of them trying to include Benny at the deadline, it adds up as the framework of a larger deal.

Taijuan Walker for Benintendi in a stand alone deal would actually make some sense for both sides.

Saves the Sox $ in the long run and the Phillies may prefer to pay Beni to platoon in LF rather than have to eat all $36M left on Walker’s deal.

The Sox should do one of 2 things with Andrew.  Either release him and eat the money like a professional MLB franchise in 2025, or they should find a band contract for bad contract deal that gets them something they need more than Benny.

Sox would probably have to send money to balance it out.

Actually he has very little job security.

If Getz was anything other than a moron, he'd realize he's one very old man not waking up the next morning away from being unemployable in baseball unless he actually makes some decent decisions.

If he truly feels no pressure than he's an even bigger idiot than we think.
