I think it’s all posturing fed to Morosi from the Red Sox camp

It's amazing that all these pitchers are suddenly on the market!

Yeah and it's the perfect team to make up a rumor about because the Padres are insane with their moves.

It'll be the most White Sox thing to happen if they actually do trade Cease and get equal or better value than we did.

Jett had an OPS of .656  in 2024.   I think he was hurt much of the year, with only 148 PAs. He also Ks a lot and is listed at 5-6, which I mentioned as that is oft mentioned about Madrigal and Fletcher.

Overall, doesn't seem like the ideal headliner.

This is feeling like it will end up like the last 2 big trades:  Lots of teams say they want Crochet, but they won't offer much; Getz never gets a really good offer, and is stuck with taking the least sh$$$y offer right before Spring Training.

and hopefully nobody believes this

Every team is suddenly claiming they'll trade for Dylan Covey, and the White Sox are threatening to convert Crochet to a 2B.

MLB should have to pay me every time they pull this BS.

You’d think he would have learned from last time and would keep him into the season and only trade when his demands are met.

I understand the hesitation as time depreciates value with these guys.   Also, the GMs that he's dealing with are  top-shelf; they probably want to rip  him off like the Dodgers/Cardinals did.

I wish the Angels or Mariners needed him.  Even Philly - Dombrowski is a top-shelf GM obviously, but he will trade.  They should at least be able to do a good volume trade with them that starts with Crawford + a couple of other prospects + a couple of prospects they get from the 3rd team who gets Bohm.  Not ideal but acceptable imv.
