CaliSoxFanViaSWside
If they attach Benintendi in a Crochet trade I'll care that they paid Vaughn because attaching Benitendi and getting less prospects in return would be the most Reinsdorfiest of cheap skate moves ever . While I think Vaughn shouldve been nontendered its more the 26 yr old devil you know than a 36 yr old devil you dont know. Not exactly any moves to look forward to except Crochet.

Massey is also the better defender at 2B. Lux with 2 years left before free agency makes acquiring him make absolutely no sense for this team. But I guess Getz is going to continue to Getz… The Dodgers must be willing to take on Robert’s entire contract so cheapskate Jerry can save some money while selling low on Robert and destroying the return for him. caulfield12
“The Reds’ rotation is expected to have All-Star Hunter Greene, Nick Martinez and Singer plus Nick Lodolo, Andrew Abbott, Rhett Lowder, Carson Spiers and Graham Ashcraft in the mix for the remaining spots.“ Reds now seemingly have a surplus of starting pitching…

Article doesn’t exactly paint it as him being the centerpiece, just a piece. I still don’t think Crochet is going to the Dodgers.

We all have to pray this doesn’t happen, cuz you know the addition of a “name player” in Lux that Getz apparently wants is going to crap all over the rest of the return (prospects). God, Getz is terrible.

What an awesome article of a guy writing about someone else’s horrible trade idea. In his article, Heyman even says he doesn’t know why the Sox would do the deal. Brady Singer just got India and Wiemer. I think Crochet will fetch significantly more than Lux. That trade makes zero sense for the Royals unless Massey's back is shot and even then starting pitching was the reason they got to the post season...they doubled down on a Wacha extension but Singer much more affordable and younger. India is what you would get back in return for Vaughn...

I don’t even like India but he’s a better player and hitter than Vaughn. No team wants a poor defensive first baseman that hits like a shortstop. At least India does a decent job at 2B. Vaughn brings absolutely nothing to the table at 1B or DH. Edited 9 hours ago by WhiteSox2023

Johno
I might be off on this, however I still Nick Madrigal can play in this league. I wouldn’t mind if the Sox gave him one more chance after being let go by the Cubs.
