Apparently neither of the available ticket packages for this include any autograph sessions.

Unless a lot of former Sox players are in attendance, who would want any autographs from the pile of scrubs that Getz has assembled?

I credit the WS for keeping their word to hold a Soxfest-type event.  After the year we had it would have been instinctual to hide from the fans.  The rebranding and smaller venue is just the reality of not getting enough fans to keep it in the former space.

Eh, I’m not so sure about that.  I think plenty of Sox fans would actually pay the money to go blast Jerry and Getz.  I wouldn’t, because then I would be funding these clowns more money.  But many Sox fans would.  This was a strategic move by the Sox to avoid being lambasted by a massive crowd of angry Sox fans.

It’s just very weird that they haven’t had one since Covid and yea let’s go ahead and have one now after we really pissed the fans off

Not weird.  IMO opinion, the timing and selection of the Ramova venue was a fantastic decision. The renovated theatre/restaurant/ brewery near 35th and Halsted is beautiful.  Support from private investors and the cooperation of National Historic landmarks (new roof), TIF financing, and the dedication of Emily  and Tyler Nevius makes a statement about the revival of that area and surrounding businesses ... including the WSox.  If someone would prefer going to a downtown hotel, OK, but for me, I think this venue and location will be wonderful. If anyone here is going, please post a pic or two.

This is sad. Maybe one day Soxfest will be back to what it once was.

Was considering going until I saw no Rojas Perez or Slater appearances...

Uribe's probably pissed they already dumped his son.

Would also be nice to see Crede or Rowand, but maybe they're not getting around very well physically after getting beaten up so much over their careers...heck, would take Carl Everett at this point.

Merkin, mlb.com

"Some pundits view the anniversary celebration as a misdirection from the 222 combined losses suffered by the team over the past two seasons and a 2025 campaign in which the White Sox are unlikely to be prime contenders. This year is focused on watching the prospects in action, then seeing where the team needs to fill in around them.

But the 2005 team should be recognized as one of the most underrated, dominant champions in Major League Baseball history. White Sox fans simply don’t want to wait another 10 or 20 years for another celebration.

“I’ve never been on a team where it seemed like from the owner down, everybody was pulling on the same end of the rope,” Rowand said. “If you open up a dictionary and look up ‘camaraderie’ or ‘winning environment,’ there would be a picture of the ‘05 White Sox. … That group was probably closer than any other group of guys that I’ve ever been around.

“There was never a dull moment one day of that entire season. … But we never let any outside distractions derail us from what we were trying to accomplish on the field every day.”

I thought it was interesting that Baldwin was the first current player they listed. Maybe it's alphabetical. But as the #1 Baldwin stan on this board, I hope it's because they really like the player and think he's going to be a key contributor this year.
