Philly interested in Colon

It's not even the fact that he's a blimp, the most important thing is that I heard a scout during the season comment how he was surprised that Colon's arm didn't blow out. And now a "source" GM has come out and said the same thing. And I've heard that about Colon for the last 2 years.

He's a disaster waiting to happen. Him blowing us off might be the best thing that ever happened to our starting pitching staff. He's been pitching on borrowed time for a long time, and I think that he pops that arm this year. Let him pop that arm in another uniform.

However, he will still be happy even with a blown arm, because you can still stuff 10 Whoppers down your throat with your left arm.

LOL!!!! That's harsh. I'll hate him if he pitches anywhere else. I'm still in the camp that thinks we still have a chance to sign him, but we're starving to death, we have 2 tree huts and some horse meat. I'll stay till the end, I think fat guys can pitch effectively until they're 35.

I can't recall where I read it, sorry, but someone (a baseball insider) referring to the ligament in Colon's right elbow called it "ugly". I'm not sure about any more details or how they know what it looks like, but that arm very well could "pop" this season.

Would hav been in one of Gammons' latest articles. And yeah that elbow mite just scare enough teams off that we mite still hav a chance to resign him, but i seriously doubt it.
