nrockway Posted yesterday at 01:59 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:59 AM Five more years of "Rate"! Why didn't they rebrand to something smart like "The Winners"? It's just good marketing. I would probably buy insurance (or whatever they sell, I haven't figured it out) from "The Winners". They might change their logo to a thumbs up too. Still sad Wintrust didn't win the bid. Like Rate, I don't totally know what they do, but the name inspires confidence.

bmags Posted yesterday at 02:07 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:07 AM When people said “GRF” they knew what they meant but now that’d be RF which …is confusing

77 Hitmen Posted yesterday at 06:37 AM Share Posted yesterday at 06:37 AM The closest thing Jerry will get to a new stadium short of paying for it himself. 1
Ducksnort
They should've taken Wintrust offer. I think Wintrust was going to make it Wintrust Field at Comiskey Park or something like that. I'd be fine calling it Wintrust. This is just dumb

Texsox
How about Taxpayer Field at Comiskey Park for the new one? I'm warming up to y'all in Illinois buying my favorite team a new stadium. Hell, increase the hotel tax to pay for it. Joking. 1

Sin taxes are the way to go.....$19,200 per carton of cigarettes should be a good start. 1

The name was supposed to be Second Rate If the name is supposed to reflect the product on the field, Jerry's team is a far cry from being second rate. If we're lucky, the team will improve enough in 2025 or 2026 to be considered second rate, but that would require a huge improvement. To be fair, you could call a vast majority of MLB and NFL stadiums "Taxpayer Field". Maybe some day people in every city and state will finally say no to taxpayer handouts to billionaire owners who just keep getting richer. Yes, the guys on The Score were saying this as well. Why not just make the full company name “Rate.com”? That way you are at least advertising your site, even if it is obvious.
