Bob Sacamano
How is his defense? Looks like he definitely knows how to draw walks.

Baseball Prospectus rated him as the 89th catcher last year in runs saved out of 100. Number 93 was Martin Maldonado. So, upgrade? He looks about average on the throwing categories and blocking but was one of the worst framers in the game.

No idea how his defense is or if he’s good working with pitchers. My guess is those traits must not be good based on his salary and this trade. Both Thaiss and Robinson are older backup catchers. Both traded for cash. Like I said, these guys are a dime a dozen. Edited December 18 by WhiteSox2023

He can run into some homers against righties. Maldonado style, but from the left side. He still has no bat. Texsox
I keep reading that headline and trying to remember Cash, what position he played, and how we fucked up his development.
